How Know Your Rights Canada handles visitor information.

Updated January 1, 0001 • 2 min read

Know Your Rights Canada is a read only information site. We do not run user accounts, we do not sell anything, and we never ask visitors for personal documents.

What we collect. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in the message. We use it only to reply. Please do not send us personal documents, identification, or details about an active dispute.

Analytics. We use privacy conscious aggregate analytics to understand which guides are read and which need improvement. Analytics data is reported to us in aggregate and is not used to identify individual visitors.

Advertising. This site may display advertising served by Google AdSense or a similar network. Advertising partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on visits to this and other sites. You can control or opt out of personalized advertising through your browser settings and through Google Ads Settings.

Cookies. Cookies used on this site are limited to analytics and advertising as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; the guides remain fully readable.

Links. Guides link to official government and regulator websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

Changes. If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.

Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@knowyourrightscanada.ca.

How we check our rules

Every rule, rate, and deadline on Know Your Rights Canada is taken from the official provincial or federal source linked at the bottom of the article and rechecked on a regular cycle. Rules change, so each article carries the date it was last verified. This site gives general legal information only. It is not legal advice, and it cannot predict the outcome of your own situation.
